Founded by Laurie Crayston in June 2015, Ascendancy Apparel was born out of a love for the landscapes of the English Lake District - a desire to explore them and a curiosity for what exists beyond the horizon. For the adventurers, we are inspired by new experiences amid the limitless terrains of planet earth, seeking to immerse ourselves in the wild as often as possible.

Enticed by the unknown but with an appreciation for what's already around us; we are enthused by the wilderness and our ever changing encounters ensure we continue to seek adventure, both near and far.

We pride ourselves on providing you with stylish, ethically sourced, clothing made using premium materials for maximum comfort and durability. Each item of our clothing is individually hand printed and/or finished in Kendal, Cumbria before being shipped worldwide in 100% recycled, biodegradable packaging.

All our gear is WRAP (World Responsible Accredited Production) certified. WRAP is an independent, objective, non-profit team of global social compliance experts dedicated to promoting safe, lawful, humane and ethical manufacturing around the world through certification and education.

As well as providing quality gear though, we're here to fuel your craving for the wild with a variety of info and inspo, in doing so grow our tribe of like minded adventurers - united by our desire to explore more.

We exist to give back too. We currently support the Cumbria Community Foundation with every order placed. The foundation provide a means by which people and organisations can make a difference to the most disadvantaged people in our local community. They also manage local disaster funds, such as those set up after the 2015 floods and during the Covid-19 pandemic.

For us, adventure is a way of life.
